Research interests:

• Polyphasic taxonomy of actinomycetes from extreme and unexplored environments,
• Searching for bioactive filamentous actinomycetes from extreme biomes using a culture-based bioprospecting strategy and genome mining,
• Antimicrobial, biocontrolling and plant growth promotion properties of actinomycetes,
• Microbial-mediated synthesis of metal and non-metal nanoparticles,
• Biological activities of nanomaterials and nanocomposites and their toxicity.

The interdisciplinary studies related to the issues listed above are conducted in a thriving, international team of experienced scientists and PhD students, and in cooperation with many scientific units in Poland and around the world.
